Herman’s Hideaway is not only considered to be a live music institution by most Denverites, but also can boast about having hosted over 25,000 bands in the last 25 years. The fact that Herman’s has one of the best sound systems in Colorado gives them something to brag about too, and it helps draw in huge crowds every weekend.
Herman’s Hideaway adds to its celebrated feel just by being located in the heart of Denver, blocks from the University of Denver and minutes from downtown.
Some of the bands Herman’s has hosted include the likes of The Dave Matthews Band, The Fray, Phish, Wide Spread Panic, 311, and Tab Benoit. Not to mention more local bands such as The Flobots, The Railbenders, P-Nuckle, Lost Point, and Pomeroy just to name a few.
Other features include a patio/smoking area and free parking on Broadway. Herman’s Hideaway is open every Wednesday through Saturday and is a 21 and older club.
Herman’s is notorious for being home to local music in Denver for a quarter of a century. Weekly patrons always have a great time thanks to the variety of music and the down-home, fun-loving and friendly staff.
