Originally built (and soon again) to host Roller Derby, the Fillmore is now mostly a concert hall dedicated to mid level national touring acts and high dollar private events. Thing is no matter how they dress it up, the place still feels like a high school gym, with acoustics to match. That’s right sports fans, if the crew at the board is asleep at the wheel, your concert of the year will be memorable for all the wrong reasons. Not to say I haven’t heard great shows there, but I’ve also heard awful ones.
