When it comes to walking the green walk, few artists are more committed than Hawaii’s favorite folkie. In addition to hosting his annual Kokua Festival (seen here) to raise money for environmental education in Hawaiian schools and communities, Johnson has also built an eco-friendly recording studio in Los Angeles that runs entirely on solar power. He even snuck a pro-environment message into the “Curious George” soundtrack with his song “The 3 R’s” (that’s reduce, reuse, recycle—but you already knew that, didn’t you?).
