Adrian Grenier (The Honey Brothers)
Main claim to fame: Plays Hollywood A-lister Vincent Chase on HBO’s “Entourage.”
Indie credentials: Lead singer of unsigned Brooklyn lo-fi rockers Kid Friendly; plays drums, a little guitar and sings in “new wave folk band” the Honey Brothers, who just released a digital-only EP called “Demonstration” and are playing such high-cred summer festivals as All Points West and Seattle’s Bumbershoot.
What the critics are saying: “Glam ukulele rock that manages to reference the country-tinged sensitivity of the Silver Jews, the Beach Boys’ summery harmonies and the playful weirdness of Ween.” – The Village Voice
Random factoid: One of Grenier’s bandmates in Honey Brothers is actually named Ari Gold—the same name as Vincent Chase’s foul-mouthed agent on “Entourage,” played by Jeremy Piven.
