As noted in the Best Live Music Bar category, we're separating bars that also host concerts from venues whose main reason for existing is to hold shows. We'd be foolish not to acknowledge that one of the entries below is something of a ringer, but as everyone who attended the Monolith festival this year can attest, there are certain drawbacks (i.e. hypothermia) to outdoor venues, no matter how sweet-looking they may be. So consider your vote carefully.

The images include musical heavyweights such as Dave Matthews, Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow and Snoop Dogg, a decorative element that speaks to the theater's storied status among Colorado concertgoers. A spacious interior, a professional sound system and a full bar make the Fox the perfect place to catch larger acts in this small college town.

The Boulder Theater

The Boulder Theater is an historic Boulder landmark. Opened in 1906 as the Curran Opera House, the venue featured musical productions and silent movies. It is currently used as a venue for live music acts from Colorado and around the world, as well as private parties and conferences.
Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Morrison, CO 80465Red Rocks Amphitheatre wins the award for being Denver's oldest venue, beating out its closest competitor by a mere 250 million years. From Jack Johnson to jazz ensembles, the best natural acoustics in the region are right here. Just be careful when sippin' on the sauce: The stairs are steep and the only thing that will halt your arm-flailing, expletive-filled fall is Golden, Colo.
