4. Trials of the century (so far)
2011 proved to be a year full of murder, missing children, and Michael Jackson as three much-anticipated trials saw resolution. Casey Anthony was acquitted of killing her daughter in July, Amanda Knox was freed on appeal in October after serving four years in Italian prison for a murder charge, and in November Dr. Conrad Murray was convicted of manslaughter, resulting in the death of Michael Jackson. How Nancy Grace handled this much courtroom hubbub and a stint on “Dancing with the Stars” we’ll never know.
