Elizabeth Olsen, "Martha Marcy May Marlene"
Before the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, Olsen had never appeared on the big screen (though she did have a few gigs in videos starring her big sisters, Mary Kate and Ashley). After Sundance, Olsen was the talk of Hollywood, all thanks to her astonishing star turn as a young woman trying to escape a cult in the harrowing indie "Martha Marcy."
What's next for Olsen: Starring opposite Josh Radnor ("How I Met Your Mother") in his second film as a writer-director, "Liberal Arts"; the thriller "Red Lights" with Sigourney Weaver and Robert De Niro; release of two films already seen at festivals: "Silent House" and "Peace, Love & Misunderstanding."
