More like Show Me the Light

This teen novella series is the 21st century's Nancy Drew or Princess Diaries for vampire devotee's. What is there for the rest of us? Dribble over character identity and impressions of manly vampire skills. Edward is a teen throb and Bella is every other girl. As Edward tries to protect/consume Bella, the straight world and the dark world cringe. Wow, what a concept. I make no judgment here, if you like the book, see the film. When, not If your girl friend wants to go, encourage her to go with the girls. Sex And The City has more to offer us mere male mortals who are looking for actual romance or even a few sexy scenes. Insane as that may sound.

Wake me up!

I'll start by saying that the movie usually never lives up to the book except for the first Lord of the Rings so I usually go into the movie not expecting much. It's just neat to see the directors interpretation of the characters. I thought Bella was spot on and Edward and Jacob were pretty good but the Cullen family as a whole was very dissapointing.
Jasper reminded me of someone doing a bad impression of Edward Scissorhands. Emmett was like a bad wannabe in a cheesey teen movie. Alice looked like a burnt out pixie and Rosalie, who is always touted as the most beautiful, looked like a 35 year old trying to play the role of a teenager like in the old 90210. The movie does add some humor that the book does not but overall I was bored and my wife who dragged me to see it was also dissapointed. I know I am a little older and more synical that most who saw the movie but when I heard the little teenie boppers around me complaining about what the characters looked and acted like then I knew my oppinions weren't that far off. I would give it 2 1/2 stars.

Cant wait till the movie comes out ! I have read the books 4 times and sceem threw them daily for my favorite parts, Its something about the young -love romance that are in these books, that keep you thrieving for more. I hope the movie dont let me down , But I don't think I will be Disappointed at all . Just a little romance ia all a person needa to keep their love life going.
