It all happens at the City and County Building on 14th Street and Bannock Street from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., where 6,000 holiday lights transform Denver's historic building into a spectacular holiday display. Hosting the celebration are 9NEWS Anchors Kyle Dyer and Gregg Moss along with 9NEWS Entertainment Reporter Kirk Montgomery.

The 9NEWS Parade of Lights, continues to reign as the signature event of the Downtown Denver holiday season. The countless sparkling lights, marching bands, giant balloons, dazzling floats and delightful characters will once again wow hundreds of thousands of onlookers when this popular family tradition takes to the streets of Downtown. Spectator viewing for the Parade is free all along the two-mile route, as Downtown Denver's skyline provides a stunning background for the lights and sounds of the parade.
9NEWS Light the Lights and Denver's Grand Illumination

Witness the magic of Downtown Denver, starting with this year's Grand Illumination on November 28. Beautiful lighting displays will be at the City and County Building, Larimer Square, Denver Pavilions, Union Station, Skyline Park, the 16th Street Mall and the historic D&F Tower. Downtown's unique holiday atmosphere is sure to get you in the holiday spirit. The sky will light up at Union Station at 6:30 p.m., and 6:45 p.m. at the City & County Building.
Downtown Boulder's Switch on the Holidays

Switch on the Holidays is Downtown Boulder’s lighting ceremony with a special appearance by Santa Claus. The event includes holiday caroling followed by Santa Claus counting down to the grand illumination of the Pearl Street Mall, the County Courthouse and the star on Flagstaff Mountain.
Denver Zoo Lights 2010

Zoo Lights is just something everyone should do over the holiday season. It is a memorable experience whether you go with your family or if you take that special someone on a date. There are more than 38-acres of beautifully decorated lights spread throughout the zoo, featuring more than 150 animated animals that swing through trees, hide in bushed, jump across lawns and appear in places you least expected.

Bring your family to enjoy the Southlands 3rd Annual Menorah lighting at 5 p.m. in the Town Square.
Tree light ceremony at the Southlands

The holiday season lights up during Southlands 2nd Annual Tree Lighting ceremony. Be there to see Santa arrive at Southlands, watch the living Christmas tree and surrounding buildings light up, entertainment begins at 5 p.m. and the lighting at 6 p.m. in the Town Square.

The 17th Annual Holiday Walk in downtown Evergreen, begins with the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Lake House to light the community tree. Continue the merriment by walking with Santa and Mrs. Claus to Main Street for photos, roasted chestnuts, choirs, bell ringers, face painting, dance performances and more! Enter to win a live Christmas tree from Luckylure. Free shuttle service will be offered from many locations.
Downtown Boulder's Lights of December Parade
- Downtown Boulder - 15th & Walnut Street - Boulder
The Lights of December Parade is a hometown celebration for Downtown Boulder and involves a wide cross-section of the Boulder County community including participation from high school marching bands, hundreds of girl scouts, church floats, non-profit and civic organizations & businesses. Route starts at 15th and Walnut and then goes West to 11th Street and heads north on 11th Street to Spruce Street where it goes East ending at 16th and Spruce streets. Happy Holidays!

See Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield in a different light this holiday season, as you wind through a charming forest path decorated with more than 1 million colorful lights at the inaugural Trail of Lights – a new holiday tradition. With the Colorado foothills as a backdrop, this spectacular display will be draped in elegant designs along the countryside, illuminating the plants, trees and hardscape features. Nearly half of all the lights used will be sparkling, energy-saving, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), reflecting the Gardens’ commitment to conservation and sustainability. The Gardens at Chatfield will be transformed into a winter wonderland that includes a children’s play area with a treehouse along the trail path. Tour the restored 1880s homestead that will be decorated in a charming Colorado country Christmas motif. Guests can also enjoy warm drinks to ward off the seasonal chill. The popular HoloSpex glasses, which magically transform the lights into shimmering 3-D shapes, will be available for just $1. Ample parking is available at no cost.

The 25th edition of this Littleton tradition will feature a magical evening of holiday festivities, culminating in the illumination of the trees on Main Street.
