The Rock the Vote Ballot Bash ignites the 'Young Voter Revolution'

August 26, 2008

Rock this!

Denver got a dose of Hollywood during the first night of the DNC for the 'Rock the Vote Ballot Bash'. The red carpet was graced by Fall Out Boy, Daughtry, N.E.R.D and Otep who all smiled for the paparazzi.

The concert itself was outstanding. Jakob Dylan opened the show with his sincere ballads; Otep brought on the politics with a soap box-esque speech to get the crowd going; N.E.R.D got the fans on their feet dancing; and Fall Out Boy ended the concert with bass player, Pete Wentz, spinning rapidly to their music.

After the Ballot Bash, it was time for the exclusive after party which was invite-only. The party was DJed by noneother, Mr. Mariah Carey himself, Nick Cannon. Take a look at all the photos that highlights the entire evening.

Rock the Vote Ballot Bash

Metromix was not only at Rock the Vote's Ballot Bash, we were exclusives to behind-the-scene love with Fall Out Boy. We joked with the rock quartet about their shoes and discussed their new album Folie a Deux, which is releasing on Election Day, Nov. 4, 2008. After the interview with Fall Out Boy, we hit up the 'Rock the Vote red carpet' where Daughtry stopped by to chat with us along with Otep, Pharrell and N.E.R.D. The evening was not only amazing, it was surreal. Rock the Vote's passion is to get young voters to go out and have their voices be heard. They definitely got the crowds attention as they were extremely energetic and passionate about what was being said on stage. Without a doubt, this upcoming Election Day will make history with the "Young Voter Revolution" kicking into high gear.

Rock the Vote Ballot Bash: After Party

After such a phenomenal evening already, it only got better. The exclusive Rock the Vote After Party began immediately following Fall Out Boy's memorable performance which ended the Ballot Bash. Denver got a taste of something we're not used to; Celebrities everywhere and a party that was DJed by Mr. Mariah Carey himself, Nick Cannon.
