“No one has any sense of community anymore. I
tell you, when I was younger, you knew the names of everyone on your street.
Yep, them was simpler times.” Oh yeah, you know you’ve heard this come out of
your grandparents mouths. A statement that makes us snigger as when they were
younger the world was at war with each other, not exactly simple. And although
we do tend to have our heads stuck in our “doohickeys” most of the time and our
World of Warcraft accounts might be our main social avatar, but the community is
not a total extinct concept to us, just look at the Northglenn Recreation Center.
This community epicenter is chock full of activities like swimming, paddle
boats, sports and the D.L. Parson’s Theatre. Yep community looks alive and
well.
