Colorado Rapids score a goal for a good cause
While nations from around the world are butting heads in South Africa, the Colorado Rapids hosted their World Cup of Wine & Beer where alcohol from ranging from five different continents blended together conflict free. Red and yellow cards were quickly forgotten as red and white wines became a more important subject of interest. The Colorado Rapids players mingled throughout the silent auction using their local fame and persuasive good looks to help raise support for the Kroenke Sports Charities. The auction included a wide variety of items donated by local businesses from throughout Denver.
The World Cup of Wine & Beer was set to be outside, but due to the unfortunate turn of events with the crazy weather, they moved it inside Dick's Sporting Goods Park. This move didn't hurt them since the evening ended up raising $10,000 to Kroenke Sports Charities which was a "GOOOOOOOOOOOAL" in our books.
