Single and ready to mingle at the Denver Zoo
The third annual Singles Safari Friday night at the Denver Zoo brought over 600 single guys and gals to look at the local wild life and find a mate.
With beer and wine as a social lubricant the conversation quickly began to flow. The girl-to-guy ratio was about even, making it a little easier for the ladies to find a fella to talk to. Other activities for the singles included learning about the mating habits of elephants and hippos while watching the creatures in their zoological habitat. An aligator and box turtle were also big hits with curious new couples.
Once the sun went down the dance floor came alive and couples began to form. All in all a very successful evening; for some. Better luck next time if you didn't find a mate. It's a jungle out there.—Carly Rose Moser, Special to Metromix.
