The Denver Roller Dolls are the premier league for the Mile High City. The Dolls consist of three teams: The Bad Apples, The Green Barrettes and The Mile High Club. There are even some trainees looking to get in on the action, which can take up to nine months before they’re qualified to be on an official team.
These women seriously know how to open a can of whoop ass. There are more rules that go into a Derby than you would first think. Just like any other sport, they all have a role and a position they play.
Many people misunderstand the fast-growing female sport of Derby’s. The Denver Roller Dolls make sure to help the community with different charities and events. They are dedicated women who have day jobs. Yes, day jobs! Their bosses may not even know that they can probably kick their asses if opted to one day.
Just don’t piss off your Sonic waitress next time, she may secretly be a Denver Roller Doll. The girls take to the rink Oct. 17 at the Denver Coliseum doors at 6:30 p.m.
