Smack talk begins in the parking lot before CU take on CSU
Broncos vs. Raiders, Yankees vs. Red Sox, Avalanche vs. Red Wings, these are some of the most epic rivalries in sports. But none are more fierce than the yearly battle between University of Colorado and Colorado State University. Okay, maybe it's not that intense, but still up there, and still one of the most heartfelt rivalries in the state of Colorado.
So, as you would expect, diehard Rams and Buffs fans gathered hours before the game to prepare for this clash of the titans. Thousands of fans either in black and gold, or green and gold filled the parking lots surrounding Folsom Field to barbecue, throw the football, enjoy adult beverages, and start the smack talking. To prove their diehard nature, fans had unbelievable tailgating set-ups such as milk trucks and school buses converted to fan party vehicles, tents with flat screens set up, and mobile beer pong tables with school logos on them.
Everyone enjoyed the sun, tasty barbecue, and getting pumped before the game! Of course, they also loved getting their picture snapped by the Metromix Street Team.
