Mondo Guerra and Michael C. hang with fans and watch the latest episode
For Denver-based "Project Runway" fans, last night's party at Beauty Bar is pretty much a dream come true. First off, one of the show's contestants who seems to be one of this season's best designers, Mondo Guerra is from good ol' Denver, Colorado. Secondly, the reality star has been hosting weekly viewings of the show at the fairly new Beauty Bar, a watering hole and nail salon all in one off of 13th Street, so obviously that's where Mondo was last night along with many adoring fans. Thirdly, another star from the show, Michael Costello, joined Guerra in viewing a very special episode where Mondo reveals he has been H.I.V. positive for 10 years. Lastly, Mondo ended up winning the show's challenge once again, which is his third win in a row, much to the joy of all whom attended. So pretty much, this was the best night ever for "Project Runway" and Mondo fans all around.
Beauty Bar was packed the whole night with fans excited to hang with Mondo and see how their favorite show would unfold once again. Mondo was also using the opportunity to raise money for Rainbow Alley, a non-profit organization for the GBLT youth community. Plenty of items were up for auction to help with the fundraising, including some apparel made and donated from this seasons cast, as well as a brunch date with Mondo and Michael C. (which ended up going for $400!).
Another local celeb, singer Matt Morris, and his partner Sean made an appearance for the night's festivities. Fans couldn't stop taking pictures of Mondo and Michael C. as they would make announcements on commercial breaks. At one point, Michael C. did a hysterical and impression of one of the shows judges Michael Kors. It was an emotional night for Mondo's followers, and an overall great experience for reality TV lovers!
