Beer, wine and food…what more could we ask for?
A sold-out event is always a good sign as to whether or not an event is a fun idea or not. And it looks like 2011 is shaping up to have the same party forecast.
Knitting with a bunch of old people on a Friday night will never get sold-out, but when you combine the best three things in life and pack it into a night of fun, how can it not be sold-out? Yes, we’re talking about Garden, Grapes & Hops at Denver Botanic Gardens—they combined wine, beer and food all in one night and managed to top it off with the sweet Denver local band, HomeSlice to provide tunes to the crowd.
Metromix.com had a booth on-site where we played raging games of cornhole and handed out our sick t-shirts. All was fun and drunk until Johnny Rain Cloud decided to come and pour on our parade. But, we learned in first grade to never let a bully push us around, and dang it, Johnny Rain Cloud fought hard to stop this party and it simply didn’t happen. People were there to have fun, and have fun they did have.
The event is sold-out this year, so stay tuned for an official gallery on June 11, 2011.
