Lady Broncos fans let loose
Wine, food, football and females filled out Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Thursday when Crush, the Broncos' women-only fan club, held their annual Girls' Night Out event.
Whoever thought women weren't into football would've gotten an earful from all the rowdy, enthusiastic and fun-loving women who showed up to the event, more than 800 total. Vendors and fine Denver restaurants treated the ladies to food and drinks as well as nail services, fashionista advice and a chance to stock up on feminine Bronco gear. Soon after, ladies got autographs from current and former players as well as try out their throwing and catching skills on the field. There was even an opportunity to visit the locker room and find favorite players' lockers. Yep, it was pretty much heaven.
Emcee (and 9News traffic reporter) Amelia Earhart lead Broncos trivia (that would've stumped the guys) before letting wide receiver Demaryius Thomas show off the "equipment demo." This meant pleasing a crowded, screaming room of women by explaining different pads and then removing them, thus justifying one of the many reasons women love football: How darn good looking their butts are in those pants!
Men: You're not the only ones who are crazy about pigskin. Just look at these pictures and pick your next girlfriend; she's probably got a better fantasy line-up than you. —Taylor Coughlin, Metromix.
