Breakfast at Sniffany's, where dogs are a girls best friend
The paws hit the EXDO Events Center runway Saturday for the 10th annual Mutts and Models, Colorado's original "blackcollar" event. This year's theme was "Breakfast at Sniffany's," making the evening glamorous with diamond-encrusted collars, the traditional Tiffany's blue, and of course several models sported the famous Audrey Hepburn beehive.
The night began with a VIP cocktail party, which featured delicious appetizers, cupcakes and a silent auction. Once the general admission doors opened, guests and their furry companions mingled and prepared for the oh-so entertaining live auction.
This year's Mutts and Models was a smashing success and a boon to Harrison Memorial Animal Hospital, which provides veterinary care for pets of the economically disadvantaged. The auctioneer for the evening boasted this years fundraiser was the most successful compared to years past. Needless to say, the fashion show was entertaining, with stylish threads and pups prancing down the runway (and sometimes off) if the model's furry friend was determined enough. — Carly Moser, special to Metromix
