Lions, tigers and beers...oh my

Brew at the Zoo released our inner 6-year-old

When arriving at the zoo, we were shocked to see a line that consisted of hundreds of people anxiously waiting to be let in for Brew at the Zoo.

Once through the gates, everyone was given their own beer mug for the 50-plus beer booths; there was music blasting with strobe lights; Metromix beads were a hit (everyone loves beads), and food vendors from restaurants across the city served their specialties. The elephants kept looking at us like we were drunken messes, but it didn't matter because Brew at the Zoo couldn’t have gotten any cooler.

The best part of the night? Sure, drinking endless amounts of beer was a dream come true, but riding the carousel after drinking all that brew was even better.

Thankfully the peguins we saw after this bender were real, not a hallucination.
