America's biggest kegger finishes strong
Denver's Great American Beer Festival 2011 powered through the last of three nights Saturday. Right from the jump, the crowd's enthusiasm (and probably average blood alcohol content) was even higher than on the previous nights. Costumes abounded, beer lines degenerated into mobs, and God help anyone who committed the party foul of dropping their souvenir glass (at GABF, it's standard etiquette for hundreds of people to point at the perpetrator and shout "OHHHHHHH!).
The Colorado breweries section of the floor remained, oddly, the most crowded at this national expo. Two separate karaoke stages saw a lot of action, and Metromix's pals at Oskar Blues kept the back of the room quietly jumping with their trademark Silent Disco. — Matt Farley, Metromix
