Denver's hottest singles donate a date for kids
There were plenty of doctors, firefighters, musicians, and hotties in the house at Sing Sing Thursday night. The Young Professionals Chapter of Children's Hospital Colorado hosted its inaugural charity date auction: Donate2Date!
More than a dozen of Colorado’s most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes were looking for a few good men and women to take them on some amazing dates that were donated by restaurants and businesses all over town. From indoor skydiving to steak dinners, bidders had a chance to snag the perfect partner and the date of their dreams.
9News's Amelia Earhart was one of the lucky bachelorettes agreeing to go on not one, but two dates with some high rollers willing to open their pocketbooks for Children’s Hospital. Also on the roster, several McDreamy’s (orthopedic and pediatric surgeons) and there was even a McSteamy — Manny Almagure, captain of the Denver Fire Department.
All proceeds from the event go directly to Children’s Hospital. If you missed out on the event, but would still like to donate to the cause, head over to www.donate2date.org. —Laura Kelley, special to Metromix
