Beer at the finish line is enough motivation for anyone
What's motivation to run for us? Beer. And that might be why Denver's Runnin' of the Green is so popular every year. Runners know the finish line is filled with beer and traditional Irish music, so that's enough to get them to run the lucky 7K race each year.
The Runnin' of the Green 2011 proved that people aren't just in it for exercise. Leprechauns were racing, dogs were out there and people with head-to-toe green garb were aplenty. Sure, you still had your dose of professional athletes showing off their muscles, but seriously, it's just another fun way Denver celebrates St. Patrick's Day.
There's nothing better than combining beer with costumes and throwing in a couple athletes while you're at it to make for a fun time—and that's exactly what the Runnin' of the Green is all about, lads.
