Wines flow freely at the Governor’s Residence at Boettcher Mansion
The sun was shining, the sound of saxophones and brass music blared through the streets of Logan & 8th Avenue and everyone put on their stunning garden party attire to celebrate Colorado’s premier wine.
The event was held at the Governor’s Residence at Boettcher Mansion and Colorado’s First Lady, Jeannie Ritter was the hostess for the remarkable evening. The American Wine Society and Colorado Wine Industry Development Board were the wine brains behind the operation, as they poured the best bottles Colorado vineyards have to offer.
Proceeds raised from the event benefitted the Governor’s Residence Preservation Fund. “The Governor's Residence Preservation Fund is celebrating the bounty of Colorado,” said First Lady Jeannie Ritter. “It is the gift of our time as our attention is turned toward the wholesome goodness of products we have in our own backyards. I consider it no coincidence that as our communities are looking for great bottles of wine, Colorado has them ready to offer -- and is ahead of our time in getting these wines to our tables right when we are eager to enjoy them.”
Yes, it was the perfect end of summer event outside with great wines and even better company.
