Denver puts its best heels forward at 2011 Polo Classic Black Tie Ball
Denver’s finest ladies and gents put their best feet forward Friday night for the Schomp BMW Denver Polo Classic Black Tie Ball. The evening started out a little toasty, but once the sun went down and the stars came out, attendees were ready to get down with their bad selves.
Thousands of people made their way out to Littleton’s Polo Reserve to enjoy gourmet cuisine, fine drinks, cigar bars, auctions, and dancing--all perks that benefited the Denver Active 20/30 Children’s Foundation, which raises money to improve the lives of thousands of children in our community.
Metromix’s friends in Funkiphino provided music that had ladies kicking off their heels and heading to the dance floor late into the night. 9News traffic reporter Amelia Earhart helped host the evening that included a live and silent auction.
Other familiar faces in crowd included 9News personalities Ashton Altieri and Jennifer Ryan along with members of the Broncos, dressed to impress and ready to support a great cause.
The sold-out ball was the kick-off to the Polo Classic wekend, ending with the big tournament on Sunday. Organizers have a goal to raise $500,000 over the three-day event. If Friday was any indication, we have no doubt they’ll meet and exceed their goal with plenty of fun along the way! — Laura Kelley, special to Metromix
