Coors Field Makes Good on Name
When it was made official that Colorado would be receiving a baseball franchise in 1993 there was surely some debate about which of the state's many attributes to highlight in the name. Gold Diggers, You Call Its and The Non-Broncos all came under heavy consideration. And while "Rockies" obviously pays tribute to one of Colorado's greatest natural resources, the fact that a certain local brewing institution leant its name to the playing field proves that various other resources were not forgotten. Twenty brewers with sixty plus brews made their way to the parking lot outside Coors Field on Saturday for the Summer Brewfest to illustrate that you can appreciate both the natural splendor and that which is alcoholic and man-made in giant vats at the same time. Hats off to RightOn productions for throwing an epic event which hopefully, like the field’s namesake, will become another Colorado institution.
