Burning through the years: Metromix's sexiest firefighters

Here at Metromix, we like hot things: weather, girls, guys, coffee, Insanity Spice from Bombay Bowl. Chief among these hot items, however, are firefighters. Yes, the heroic men and women putting out flames on houses but starting them in our hearts.
Each year firefighters from across Colorado compete in the Fired Up for Kids Colorado Firefighter Calendar which benefits the burn unit at Children's Hospital. Yep, twelve full months of nothing but hot, smokin' firefighters— all for charity. 'Scuse us while we double check which month it is...
Ahem...still August. Well, on Thursday, the 18th, the 2012 Calendar will be debuted and guess what? You can go. Chat up the fine men (and ladies!), get their autographs, get pictures with them...that is, if you can handle the heat. We think some of them might be single too. Shut the front door, you say? Correct. Single.
VIP tickets are available (although not for much longer!) for $75 and include pre-event cocktails, a meet and greet with the firefighters, food pairings from hot restaurants all over town and a darn hot time. We're trying to see how many times we can fit "hot" in this article. Four.
General admission tickets are $35 and include the show, a post-event meet and greet and a discounted price on the calendar for $15.

In honor of one of the most smokin' events in Denver, we collected our favorite pictures from past years. It wasn't easy by any stretch, but it was thoroughly enjoyable. And in the process, we totally forgot which month it was again so...off to remind ourselves! Enjoy and don't burn up too much!
