Rapids put 4-game unbeaten streak on the line against Toronto
The Colorado Rapids took to the field against the Toronto FC this Sunday at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in an attempt to turn their four game unbeaten streak into five.
Tailgaters filled the parking lot on a sunny afternoon hours before the game began. Revelry ensued with drinking, food, friends and games keeping spirits high in anticipation of the match. Metromix hopped from tailgate to tailgate to get in on the pre-game action. After a few games of corn hole and kicking the ball around the tailgaters were sufficiently pumped up for the game and they took to the stadium. Chants to the rhythm of their own drum revved up the crowd and conveyed the true blue energy of Colorado sports fans.
With all their might the Rapids attempted to score with no avail. But with great defense they were able to prevent Toronto FC from scoring. The game ended in a draw making it a five game unbeaten streak four of which were draws.—Carly Rose Moser, Special to Metromix
