Alice DJs keep the party alive during the Broncos game
The weekday commute simply wouldn't be bearable if Denver didn't have Slacker and Steve. Thanks to those guys, the population of Denver can withstand sitting in their vehicles for unreasonable amounts of time during rush hour. It's most likely because the two Alice 105.9 DJs just sound like dudes we all want to hang with. The opportunity arose this Monday night at the brand new bar Sports Book in LoDo.
Obviously, the agenda for the evening was to watch a battle of the titans as the Broncos took on the Pittsburgh Steelers, but what made things fantastic is that Sports Book decided to make it a party with Slacker and Steve! The two radio hosts were also the emcees for the evening's shenanigans, and spilled their regular hilarity and commentary between plays and quarters during the game. Coors Light helped move the party along with the radio station, so of course some neck-breaking-hot Coors Light girls were making sure no one was thirsty, as well as handing out prizes.
The new sports bar, only open for a month or so, was stuffed with Broncos fans and a handful of proud Steelers groupies, all glued to the HD panels on the wall hoping for victory. The Donkey fans had to endure a somewhat expected loss, but the kicking party, never-ending drinks and the amazing food definitely softened the blow.
Of course the Metromix team was hanging with the fans, giving out tons of free swag, because let's be honest, who doesn't like free stuff?
