Saturday July 11th, marks one the biggest nights in sports history. With two championship title bouts on the line, UFC 100® will feature Heavyweight, Brock Lesnar taking on Frank Mir for the title of undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World. On a somewhat lighter note, Georges St-Pierre will brawl with Thiago Alves for the welterweight championship title.
As one of the world’s most intense sports, the Ultimate Fighting Championship has shot to the top in terms of both popularity and growth. The best fighters from all over the globe, in every size, ethnicity, and fighting style, come to Las Vegas to fight in what is easily the most elite fighting league in the world.
The fight is only available on pay-per-view, so why not save the $50 you would drop on the TV bill for a beer tab, and head out to one of these bars to catch the fight. Here's our top ten pick for places to go in the metro area.
The fight starts at 8 p.m., but most of the parties fill up hours in advance, so be sure to get there early.

Lodo's Bar and Grill
3053 W. 104th Ave. - WestminsterAt Lodo's Bar and Grill, there will be a $5 cover to watch the fight. But, weighing in as one of the largest bars in the Metro area to show the fight, Lodo’s in Westminster is looking to be a huge contender. Cazadores Tequila, an official sponsor of the UFC, is bringing their girls down to rep their succulent agave product with samples and drinks specials. On top of that, look for these drink deals all night long: $2.25 Coors/Coors Light, $3.50 Sam Adams/Sam Adams Seasonal, $4 captain shots and $5 crowns.
Gibby's Sports Bar
1555 S Havana St. - AuroraAt Gibby's there is no cover at all--just come and enjoy! What a lucky coincidence that Gibby’s 6th year anniversary and biggest event of the year, also happens to coincide with what looks to be one of the largest sporting events in history. For the occasion, Gib’s is putting up a 20-ft. tall blow up TV screen out on their patio. During the day, live bands will rock out the patio as well, with a “for your viewing pleasure” bikini volleyball game out back. Also look for these drink specials at the Coors Light sponsored event: $3 Coors/Coors Light, $4 Blue Moon and $5 cocktails.
Diamond Cabaret & Steakhouse
1222 Glenarm - DenverThere will be a $5 cover before 7 p.m., and then $15 after 7 p.m. If diamonds are a girl's best friend, are fishnet stockings a boy's? Catch the fight, a quality steak, and some of life’s other pleasures. Big screen TVs showing the fight are available in both the "lounge" and steakhouse.
Sports Column
1930 Blake St. - DenverNo cover at the Sports Column. Since it is a sports bar for sports fanatics, the SC is bound to get packed for the UFC fight. Just going out on a limb there...but, it will be worth it, with their fab specials: $2.75 Bud Lights and $7 Bud Light pitchers.
Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar
8350 W. 80th Ave. - ArvadaThere will be no cover at Buffalo Wild Wings. If you thought Georges St. Pierre had a powerful kick, try the wings here with their blazin’ sauce. Their specials for the night include $3 Coors/Coors Light$3.00 Coors/Coors Light and half off shrimp.
Fox and Hound Smokehouse & Tavern
9239 Park Meadows Drive - Lone TreeTheir cover is more steep than others, cashing it at $10 at the door. But, you can enjoy cheap buckets of beer, games, complimentary fighter stat sheets, and raffles at this Lone Tree pub.
C.B. & Pott's
6575 Greenwood Plaza Blvd. - Greenwood VillageFor just $5 at the door, you can come in and enjoy the game at C.B. & Pott's. Known for their sports-friendly food specials and in-house microbrew, this is the choice hangout for the “beer, babes and burgers” crowd. Throw in the fight, and you got yourself party.
Andrews on Lincoln
1111 Lincoln St. - DenverAndrews is not charging at the door--just walk in and have a blast. With over 25 big screen TVs, Andrews is a hot spot for watching the UFC fights. It's always rowdy, and always a good time. Feelin' a little extra pumped-up? Ask for the shot ski behind the bar.
Caldonia's Highway Tavern and Roadside BBQ
2252 S Parker Road - DenverThere will be no cover at Caldonia's for the fight. Cal's has great barbecue, great girls, and a happy hour that picks back up at 11 p.m. for half price drafts, which is pretty close to around the time the championship bouts will come on. Nice.
Hooters Aurora
2610 S. Parker Rd. - AuroraNo cover for this busty place to catch the fight. Comfort food doesn’t get any cozier than the bar fare at Hooters, and neither does the hospitality for a fight night.
