Places to play in Black Hawk and Central City

This past November, Colorado voted on some important issues. There were some big things at stake—like the definition of a life and how to spend our hard earned tax money.  Among those was Amendment 50.

By passing Amendment 50, casinos in Black Hawk, Central City and Cripple Creek are allowed to open up casinos 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and to raise their maximum bet from $5 to $100.  A percentage of proceeds from the increased tourism will help aid college funding in Colorado.

You did well, Colorado. By voting "yes" on 50, an abundance of fun-filled upgrades will be made to Colorado’s only gambling hotspot. We now know where and how to spend our hard earned money, and with a place to play 24 hours a day, what it means to be alive.  It’s not Vegas, but you really can’t beat the short 40-minute drive from Denver to enjoy a day, night or entire vacation with the mountains as your backdrop.

The amendment takes effect July 2nd, 2009.  Here’s a casino-by-casino guide to what’s changing, what’s not, and what’s hot. Click on the casino below that you want to get lucky at for more information.
