What would Halloween be without costumes? It would be just a bunch of normal people walking around begging for candy at strangers' houses or walking around in drunken stupors in LoDo. Halloween is right around the corner and it is time to put some thought into what you're going as. Whether you stick to the traditional costumes of vampires, witches and black cats, or you opt to go all out as Bonnie and Clyde or Pocahontas—the stores below will have the answer.

The Ritz
959 Walnut St. - BoulderThe Ritz is part costume store, part trendy clothing store. On one side you get to pick which costume you want to purchase with lots of ideas and varieties to choose from; in the back they have a wide selection of costumes to rent; and as you walk in you can browse the racks of fashionable clothes. The prices are a little steep (fine, very steep), but well-worth it. Located on Walnut St. in Boulder, The Ritz is your hub for any occasion whether it is a frat Halloween party or a cocktail party.
Flossy McGrews
1824 S Broadway - DenverHave you ever wondered what that oddly decorated building is off Broadway? Wait, that description is probably too broad of a statement. Let's put it this way: Flossy McGrews is very noticeable as you drive along Broadway. If curiosity is killing you, why don't you pull off already and peek inside? It is an amazing costume store you need to know about. There are so many things to look at that it is easy to get sucked into the depths of Flossy McGrews. You are guaranteed not to walk out bagless. If you're needing a good costume for any occasion, we believe we found the store for you.
Halloween Express

Highlands Ranch
With two HUGE superstores in Colorado, Halloween Express is where you should be if you're in the department for a costume. Hopefully you're not someone who can't make decisions, because you're going to have so many costumes to choose from that it will be hard to pick just one.
The Wizard's Chest
230 Fillmore St. - DenverThe Wizard's Chest has costumes, toys, games and other fun distractions in our busy lives. The store is definitely worth checking out as you can get lost for hours looking at all that it offers. If you can't drive to Cherry Creek North, they have provided online shopping on their website.
Disguises
9797 W. Colfax Ave. - LakewoodWith 14,000 square feet of room, you can only imagine how many costumes and accessories they can squeeze in. When we're talking costumes, Disguises does not disappoint. They have a huge warehouse full of costumes to rent, a huge room for costumes where you can buy...and a "sexy" room for the more sorority girl-college Halloween parties. They have over 100,000 costumes to choose from!
Studio Lites
333 Broadway - DenverGood old Broadway. What many people don't understand when first moving to Denver is the fact that some of the best shopping is along this busy street. One store that has been on Broadway for 25 years now is Studio Lites. A store that is known for supplying some of the best clubwear for our 'dancer' friends, yes. But what's more uncommon is their wonderful shoe and hosiery selection. Once you see their room full of costumes, you'll be blown away.
Gott-A-Costume
15167 E. Hampden Ave. -
Aurora
Gott-A-Costume is the appropriate name for this gigantor costume hub. They have without a doubt the largest selection of costumes, accessories, home decor and wigs in Colorado. This may be due to the fact that they are open year-round at their location off Hampden Street in Aurora and the fact they have three temp stores during the spooktacular Halloween season. In Parker go to their temp store at 10158 S. Parker Rd. and the other one is at 3186 S. Parker Rd. If you're in the DU-area check out 2060 S. University Blvd. Bottom line, if you're needing just a one stop shop, Gott-A-Costume has your back. They even have great discounted items for the more thriftier shoppers.
