Go on and get pampered | Metromix Denver
Go on and get pampered

After the DNC, we think it's safe to say that people will be stressed. Battling traffic, working extra hours and being in the spotlight makes for a tough week. Labor Day couldn't have come at a more perfect time. With all the busy hours, it's hard to think about ourselves sometimes. Your muscles must be achy, your skin broken out and exhaustion has officially kicked in. You need a little pamper-time. Check out the five spas below. They all offer different wonderful services with one thing in mind, you. Go on and spoil yourself.

Revive Spa Denver

Revive Spa Denver

500 E. 19th Ave. - Denver
303-284-2550

It is all in the name. Revive is an exclusive spa in Denver that is so upscale you'll wonder how you can work in a weekly budget to squeeze in their services. Although not pricey, let's just say getting pampered isn't cheap. They have numerous facials they offer along with skin care enhancers, microdermabrasions, peels, waxing, eyebrow tinting, tons of massage options, makeup applications and manicures and pedicures. This is the retreat in your backyard that you have been searching for. Life is stressful, go on and do something for yourself.

Renaissance Aveda Spa & Salon

Renaissance Aveda Spa & Salon

1717 Champa St. - Denver
303-308-0524

Are you sick of your look? Do you need a makeover? Before we start sounding like a horrible infomercial, we want to tell you about Renaissance Aveda Spa & Salon on 17th & Champa. They will give you an entire makeover if you want. If not, try their other services. They also do nails, hair, skin care, waxing, massages and so much more. If you need a change, go to Renaissance.

Indulgences Day Spa

Indulgences Day Spa

3456 W 32nd Ave - Denver
303-561-0566

Indulgences Day Spa isn't in a new building and subject to corporate spa-esque treatment. It is located in a small Victorian house; which adds the perfect dose of tranquility. If you're aching for a good massage, Indulgences is the place for you. They also offer other services to pamper your beautiful self—such as body treatments, waxing, skin care and nails. Their package deals are very special and we absolutely love them. Try the "Chocolate Indulgence," which is a one-hour chocolate-scented massage, a moisturizing chocolate body wrap and a chocolate pedicure; a 3-hour pamper session for $200 (are we sensing a possible gift idea in the making?).

A New Spirit Wellness Center & Day Spa

A New Spirit Wellness Center & Day Spa

4907 W. 29th Ave. - Denver
303-477-1652

Do you remember that episode from The Simpsons, when Lisa and Homer wanted to bond for the afternoon and they went into floatation tank to seek solitude? Homer's floatation tank ended up getting knocked out of the store and took him all over town for a bumpy ride while Lisa envisioned memories of her dad. A cute episode, yes. You can experience the same floatation tank from the episode at A New Spirit. For a one-hour session in the tank it is only $40. They say it renews your soul after each session. That is a cool service but if you don't like the idea of being closed in a small tank, try some of their other services offered. Aesthetic Biopuncture, honey and body treatments and other homeopathic remedies for you to try. They definitely offer uncommon services which are worth trying out.

Rain Spa Bodyworks

Rain Spa Bodyworks

310 Saint Paul St. - Denver
303-388-2408

As exciting as it is to live in Colorado, let's admit it, the dry weather isn't necessarily the best thing for our skin. We get acne, dry spots and every other horrible skin mishap. We can stop that right now. They offer many services, but let's first discuss their facials. They have spot shot facials, grape harvest facials, acne alternative facials and many more (they even offer waxing so you don't have to torture yourselves through plucking anymore!). The massages offered at Rain Spa are definitely worth mentioning as well. They have prenatal massages for the mommy-to-be, antioxidant lymphatic massages, hot stone massages and many more. The treatments offered at Rain Spa are relaxing and worth the money through and through.

Revive Day Spa rocks, but only because Joyce Acosta works there, and she's the best esthetician in Denver.
