These are fun suggestions but they aren't very close to Denver, and some are pretty difficult/require some real experience. As a resource, I'd suggest checking out Day Hikes Near Denver. Just google it and you'll find a ton of hikes with maps and driving directions. A few hikes that I'd recommend if you are in town for a few days: Clear Creek Trail - Downtown Golden Echo Lake - About 1hr drive - beautiful mountain lake and gorgeous views Lakes Loop at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal - Really close to downtown Denver All three of those are profiled at the site mentioned above. 7 Falls is nowhere near Manitou Springs. It is part of Cheyenne Canyon area in southwest Colorado Springs, less than a mile north of the Broadmoor Hotel. It is a tourist attraction, and not really worthy of the kudos this article gives it or the price they charge to get in and look at this man made wonder. A hike off Gold Camp Road to the 7 Bridges Trail is much more interesting! Check it out...
