There are tons of options to go swing a club in this city, and just as long as it isn’t at a baby seal you pretty much can’t go wrong. Still, that doesn’t mean you have the cash walk onto a primo course. A better idea is to hop onto one of these gems and start stroking away.

Kennedy Golf Course

Kennedy Golf Course

10500 E. Hampden Ave. - Aurora
303-755-0105

Best of all though it has three different putt-putt courses to choose from as well if you are in the mood to be frustrated by a spinning ferris wheel rather than the rough. The lighted driving range is right next to the cafe and pro shop so throwing back a few brewskies is always a close possibility. Starting at $23 a round it also frees the pocketbook up to go and get some post grub and drinks at the clubhouse.

Coal Creek Golf Course

Coal Creek Golf Course

585 West Dillon Road - Louisville
303-666-7888

Louisville's finest, this 18-hole golf course offers the serene views of our Rocky Mountains without having to take a serious trip out of the city. A good course for all levels, it still offers a challenge to the veterans with water coming into play on all but two holes. Lesson packages start at $50 for a quick fix, and a round is just under that—so you could improve your game and practice what you learned all for under a $100.

City Park Golf Course

City Park Golf Course

2500 York St. - Denver

Located right in the heart of the city, five minutes from downtown, right next to the Denver Zoo and Denver Museum of Natural History, as well as across the street from City Park, few courses are this convenient, as well as affordable. Only $31 on the weekends, there is still plenty of cash left over to enjoy all the attractions nearby.

Buffalo Run Golf Course

Buffalo Run Golf Course

15700 East 112th Avenue - Commerce City
303-289-1500

Just over 10 years old, Buffalo run has already established itself as one of the best in the state. Even while Commerce City is not well known for its serene outdoor setting, designer Keith Foster has constructed a miraculous retreat that brings the credibility of the whole city up. Still, it keeps its community in mind, as residents only pay $37 on the weekends.

Saddleback Golf Club

Saddleback Golf Club

8631 Frontier Street - Firestone
303-833-5000

Okay, this is actually $80 for two, which for you math geniuses is still under $50 a person. The Buddy Package gets you two green fees, cart and a range token. Now all you have to do is fine a buddy.

I play at the Meadows off of Simms. Tough but fun course. Cost is $43 for a non-resident.
