Many tourists come up to Central City, not just to visit the six casinos they have in town, but to enjoy one of the phenomenal performances at the Opera House.
A little back history for you: The Opera House was officially designated a historic landmark in Colorado in 1973—and was built in 1878 by Welsh and Cornish miners who were in town during the gold rush. It was designed by the fist licensed architect in Colorado who was Robert Roeschlaub.
Come down and visit the Opera House for a performance during their 2009 Festival from June through August, or to spot one of the ghosts that is rumored to be haunting the old building...spooky.
Below you will find three immaculate performances taking place right now, click on the one that interests you for more lowdown on some opera-action.
