It was heartbreaking to see Elitch Gardens move out of North Denver and into the heart of Downtown over a decade ago. But we will admit it is also nice to come back to paved parking lot without anyone breaking into your car. Dropping the Six Flags from the title helped the detachment too, now that we have Colorado’s largest theme park back grounded in Denver. And then we were fully won over to the new location, despite never fully adjusting to the new log ride, once Island Kingdom Water Park starting soothing our summers. With almost 50 rides and seven roller coasters, a summer music lineup, a super convenient location and a full range of carnival entertainment and food, we can now admit 13 years later: change is good.
