Chasing tail, big foot, and beer around the Loveland slopes
On April 4th, the brewery behind the tasty Fat Tire beer took to the slopes for a day packed full of riding and skiing on a mountain full of fresh Loveland powder. The event was right on par with a usual New Belgium party as costumes and responsible craziness were highly encouraged for all participants and bystanders.
The hunt featured big points for challenges like finding and gathering proof of big foot, tracking down and backwards racing a giant rabbit, finding a giant chicken handing out real eggs (which must be delicately carried to the bottom), along with solving a total of 20 different riddles, clues and challenges.
Proceeds benefited the Alliance for Sustainable Colorado, a leader in promoting, advancing and impacting Colorado’s push toward economic, environmental, and social sustainability. New Belgium also happens to be considered one of the “greenest” major breweries in the nation.
At the end of the day, New Belgium opened it's taps and the points were tallied. Since the event ended in a tie, the winner had to be decided by a dance-off, with team Angry Bunnies taking away the title after showing some stellar dance moves against the Beer Chasers.
