They ran the distance, they ran for speed
May 25, 2009
If you haven’t run in the BolderBoulder and you live in Colorado, you might need to do so to retain your membership here in the state. This Memorial Day, Boulder was flooded with runners, both natives, and runners from all over the world participating in the 31st Annual BolderBoulder. Runners of all levels and ages participated, and as you would expect for a 10K race in Boulder, there were plenty dressed to impress with the whole gamut of costumes from super heroes to Nuggets fans, even a couple of nuns.
The race wound through the streets of Boulder, with several live local bands along the course to give the runners a live soundtrack to their run. The finish line was inside of Folsom Field, where cheering fans awaited their arrival. Booths from all sorts of vendors provided free food and drinks for all attending.
Things finished off with a Memorial Day celebration in the stadium that included parasailors dropping into the stadium with the nations colors.
