Lions and tigers and Metromix, oh my!
What would it take to get you to go to the Denver Zoo to the Denver Zoo outside of taking your little nephew or sister there? Try booths of breweries lined up giving out as much beer as your little mug can handle. That's definitely why thousands of people made their Friday night plans at the zoo, because seriously, watching giant hippos walk around is fun, but let's be honest, it's way more fun after a few beers!
Of course the amazing Metromix team was there taking pictures of all the fans of wildlife and hoppy joy, as well as giving away tons of free schwag! Vendors at the event not only included Colorado's finest breweries such as New Belgium Brewery, Left Hand Brewery and more, but there was food from local restaurants and plenty of other fun stuff to check out.
And no party like this would be complete without some live tunes for people to dance to after they gave up trying to find that one lion in the cats area hiding in the corner. The 12th Annual Brew at the Zoo event was a fundraiser for the zoo's Red Apple Fund for Life-Long Learning. Here's a tip for all of you that didn't go: never miss this event again...... there's always next year!
