The day was filled with music, clues and booze
Metromix and Downtown Boulder did something that no other man has done before—we threw a scavenger hunt. Okay fine, scavenger hunts seem to be all the rage anymore, but no one has done one quite like ours. We had teams run all over Downtown Boulder and along Pearl Street to hunt for 18 really hard clues. Only the true Boulderites could figure them out. Our scavenger hunt took place during the 1st Annual BoulderFest, where breweries, food vendors and local bands jammed for the two day festival. So the crowd was already out for a good time, we just stepped it up a notch when our scavenger hunt began.
Trust us—the clues were so difficult, that only half of the teams who signed up made it to the end. We did thoroughly enjoy calling one of the teams properly titled 'Qwan' to see if they were going to finish and their ring leader, Jeremy said, "Oh we quit like 45 minutes ago."
Either way, we would say the 1st Annual BoulderFest was a blast and scavenger hunting seems to be something only the tough of the tough can handle.
