Nestled within the grounds of Boulder’s only National Historic Landmark, Colorado Chautauqua. The Auditorium hosts summer-only events like the renowned Colorado Music Festival and a silent film series. The auditorium is built to carry the music around beautifully. Jewel herself has said, "I got so excited when I heard I was playing here. I came here years ago and fell in love with it!" (True story). In the winter, events move to the Community House. There are concessions available outside the Auditorium, or your best bet is to treat yourself to the Chautauqua Dining Hall which is located footsteps away from the auditorium. There you can have steaks, fish and sandwiches out on one of the nicest wrap-around porches you’ll find anywhere. And if that’s not enough, there are historic cottages you can rent by the night and 48 miles of hiking right outside the door! Be careful though, it is known to be haunted. Many have spotted a lady in a white dress from circa 1898. It is so cool!
