Let’s not suffer through boring workouts anymore. There is a new and improved – fun – workout that everyone should know about. It is called “Hoopdancing.” It takes the popular kids toy, the hoola hoop, and turns it into a hardcore exercise. Hoopdancing incorporates a little yoga, a little fusion dance, belly dancing, rhythmic gymnastics and various forms of martial arts and mashes it all into one class. All that, with just a hoola hoop.
At Aerial Dance Over Denver (an aerial arts studio that also has juggling, contortion and belly dancing classes), every Thursday night from 7 p.m.-8:15 p.m., you can get your thrusting on with Hoopdancing. It is only $16 for a drop-in class and they provide the hoola hoop. Some of the benefits include: Strengthening and toning your body, enhancing creative self-expression, developing balance and coordination, and increasing your energy level. We have also saved the best for last—it also is known to boost your libido. So not only do you leave more energized, you leave a little more randy than when you came in.
So why not try something new rather than going to a gym and having all the beefcakes stare at you as you try to operate the treadmill? This is a creative way to shake off those calories and a way get into your sexy bikini in no time. Next we need to create a class that involves “Skip Its." The clever pedometer of the 80s.
