Everybody is kung fu fighting in the latest version of the classic brawler

On Oct. 17, 2007—more than 20 years after the original game came to arcades, and more than eight years since its last coin-op incarnation—Capcom announced plans to release “Street Fighter IV.” Set up as a sequel to 1991’s “Street Fighter II” and 1994’s “Super Street Fighter II Turbo,” the game may boast 3D characters and fighting arenas, but the game retains the classic 2D style the series has always employed.
But while the brawler was given only a limited release in North American arcades, fans of fisticuffs needn’t fret, as the game is coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 17 (and PCs later on in the year). Though as you can see from our screenshot gallery, this is one fighter that’s gotten itself a bit of an extreme makeover.
