Oktoberfest in all its glory

Oktoberfest began on Larimer Street in 1969 and is modeled after the huge celebration in Munich, Germany every year. Starting the 19th of September, the fest is a brilliant bubbling bonanza of brats, beer and music that takes over the street from 20th-22nd.

Metromix stopped by for the opening weekend, and well let's just say if this pace keeps up it is going to be a very long week. The festival runs through Sept. 28.
