Is it wrong taking the Mexican Elvis to Casa Bonita for the day? That’s exactly what we did. The end result? El Vez, a.k.a. Robert Lopez, said it was one of the happiest days of his life (we told him just wait until later).

The day started with us picking him up in his hotel on Colfax and explaining to him what he is in for. Of course we couldn’t let him go into Casa Bonita thinking he was in for an authentic dining experience. No, Bad Bart's Cave, the roaming creepozoid in the ape suit, and the cliff divers negate any real South of the Border credibility. What we did give him however, was a taste of a Colorado classic. From indigestion to a laughter induced air hockey game, this is truly the Graceland of bad Mexican food. It was the perfect storm of Latino fun and sopapillas.
