2011 celebrity firefighter calendar contest heats up Denver
Over 30 Colorado firefighters came out to raise money for a great cause
April 23, 2010
If you were near the Exdo Event Center on Friday night, you could probably hear screaming women from a mile away. The 2011 firefighter celebrity judging contest was heating up the catwalk for a good cause and women from all over Denver came out for the occasion.
Over 30 firefighters were competing to land a spot in the 2011 Fired Up For Kids calendar. Some drove down from Glenwood Springs and others only traveled from Aurora, but they all certainly had a few things in common—tan bodies, amazing six packs and big hearts (what’d you think we were going to say?).
Let us breakdown the math for you real quickly: 38 firefighters and only 12 months in a year means that 26 sexy men and women got eliminated for a chance to brace the pages of the 2011 Colorado calendar. The judging was all in the hands of Colorado’s local celebrities, which included Erica Cobb from the “BJ, Howie and Erica” morning show on Alice 105.9, 9NEWS’ meteorologist Becky Ditchfield, Matthew Morris from Matt Morris Salon and third runner-up on Bravo’s hit show “Shear Genius,” and Metromix.com’s lead producer, Erica Boniface.
