Breaking up, as the song goes, is hard to do, and getting dumped is worse. Now, of course everyone here at Metromix has far too much game to ever have been dumped (especially not by a low-level beauty queen named Tara during our freshman year of college, a singular experience which permanently colored all of our future interactions with women and stunts our ability to maintain long-term relationships to this very day), but it's come to our attention that some of you may have. So, as we are wont to do with things that confuse and hurt us, we've decided to make a game out of it. And our good buddies at the Tilted Kilt have agreed to help.

So: Send us stories of the most horrifying, humiliating and/or hilarious jilting you have ever suffered. Whether it came at the hands of a fiance or a first date, in public or in suffocating, soul-crushing private, we'll pick our favorite and offer you our condolences in the form of a sweet prize to be awarded at the Tilted Kilt's Jilted Kilt Valentine's Day party on Feb. 14.

Email us your stories by Feb. 12. We'll post the best tales of emotional massacre on Metromix.com, so be sure to change names and details to protect the innocent before you press send. Or, what the hell, leave the names. That'll teach the bastards.
