"Heaven's Gate." "Showgirls." "Howard the Duck." "The Postman." "Ishtar." Their titles are legendary in Hollywood because they all bombed at the box office.
Millions of dollars were lost, careers were hurt or destroyed, and audiences were insulted anyone would think they'd pay money to see such crap.
The 2000s offered plenty of new bombs to join the club. Here's a look at 10 of the most notable, with estimated production costs (keeping in mind that many more millions are usually spent on marketing), worldwide box office grosses, and critical consensus via Rotten Tomatoes' "freshness" scores (the lower the score, the more bad reviews a movie got).
