Fashion fights domestic violence

The holiday spirit of giving, love and thankfulness is in the air, and what more is there to love and be thankful for than high class fashion show full of gorgeous models, scrumptious food and a full bar—all of which is for a good cause? Not much, really, which is why The 2009 Max Holiday Fashion Show was such a hit.

The fashion show, hosted by Max Martinez, owner of MAX clothing store in Cherry Creek and Boulder, was a benefit for Volunteers of America's Brandon Center, Colorado's largest homeless shelter for women and children who are homeless and seeking refuge from domestic violence.

To help raise funds, there was also a silent auction featuring everything from high-end restaurant packages, spa treatments and even an original "I Love New York" (which was also the theme of the night) styled piece of graffiti art done right on scene by urban artist Jeremy Silas. Silas also spent the day tagging the walls of the VIP, creating a very urban feel.  In the VIP, there was also a private break-dance show complete with an open bar and hors d'oeuvres.
